Community Housing provides affordable rental housing to people on low to moderate incomes, housing over 21,000 households across New South Wales. This incorporates a range of housing, from accommodation that is affordable to moderate income households, to housing for people with very high needs (physical and mental health), key workers, students and the elderly. The Sector provides for people centred development with a strong emphasis on tenant participation and seeks to make positive development decisions which benefit the local community, whilst increasing the supply of housing.
